On-site investigations aimed at identifying and quantifying physical factors (including temperature, humidity, air velocity) determining the climatic conditions of a work environment.

On-site investigations aimed at evaluating exposure to: noise, vibrations, electromagnetic fields and lighting of the work environment. Phonometric operations are performed by qualified technicians recognised by the Regione Lombardia.

ASBESTOS AND ARTIFICIAL GLASS FIBRES

Water & Life Lab is a Laboratory recognized by the Ministry of Health as a quality laboratory for asbestos analysis. Our services include, in particular:

Presence/Absence on all matrices (roofing, panels, insulation systems, soil, waste, water)
Quantification of airborne asbestos and artificial glass fibres with phase contrast Optical Microscopy
Quantification of soil, waste, sludge and sediment asbestos
Classification of artificial glass fibres based on the percentage content of alkaline and alkaline-earth oxides and of the geometric average diameter of SEM-EDS-measured fibres.

LEGIONELLA

Water & Life Lab carries out accredited analyses for the identification and counting of Legionella spp and L. Pneumophila with the ISO 11731:2017 and M.U.1037:2014 method, pursuant to the recent guidelines issued by the National Health Institute.

Our qualified technicians promptly inform customers , if the sample is positive, so that they can immediately implement appropriate measures.

The main points where Legionella develops are:

Hot and cold water circuits
Humidification of duct systems
Cooling water (evaporative cooling towers)
Air treatment units
Air conditioners
Pools, Jacuzzi tubs, thermal baths and spas

According to the law, periodic checks must be performed to ascertain the presence of Legionella, especially by:

Accommodation and public facilities, including hotels, schools and nursing homes (Guidelines for prevention and control of Legionnaires' disease approved during the State-Regions Conference of 7 May 2015);
Production companies (Legislative Decree 81/08 requiring the Legionella Risk Assessment if a possible microbiological hazard was identified).

SAMPLING

With regard to sampling operations, Water & Life Lab relies on its technicians, adequately trained and qualified to implement the procedures provided by the methods used. The laboratory is accredited for chemical and microbiological tests on water.
